Presence, Absence, Memory
On view October 4 - November 10, 2019 at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. Scenes from my mother Nguyễn Thị Sáu’s ancestral village of Mỹ Long and burial sites of family members are projected on her áo dài. Traces of the past and present bring to light the longing to remember one’s homeplace through our relationship to the passing of our loved ones and the distances in between.Cát bụi
